The London Zoo: Located in Regent’s Park, London Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world and offers exhibits ranging from lions and tigers to penguins and reptiles, making it a favourite for families.
The SEA LIFE London at the London Eye: Located near the London Eye, the SEA LIFE London Aquarium is home to thousands of marine animals, including sharks, rays, turtles, colourful reef fish and jellyfish. In addition to being one of London’s most famous attractions, kids can enjoy interactive exhibits, touch pools, and even a 40-meter-long underwater tunnel for an immersive experience for the whole family.
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo: Located about 40 miles north of London, Whipsnade is the UK’s largest zoo and features over 2,500 animals across 600 acres. Families can explore exhibits such as the African Plains, Giraffe Heights, and Penguin Paradise, as well as take a ride on the Whipsnade Railway for a unique view of the animals. Battersea Park Children's Zoo: Situated in Battersea Park, this smaller, family-friendly zoo is ideal for younger children. Paradise Wildlife Park: Located in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, about 20 miles north of London, this wildlife park features a mix of animals, including lions, tigers, and various exotic species. Sea Life Weymouth: While a bit further afield, this aquarium located in Weymouth is worth the trip for its diverse marine life, including sharks, rays, and sea turtles. It also features interactive exhibits, a glass tunnel for underwater views, and a soft play area for younger children.
Aquarium of the Deep: Located in Rotherhithe, this small but engaging aquarium focuses on local marine life and sustainability. Families can learn about London’s aquatic environment and see various species native to the River Thames.
The Horniman Museum and Gardens: Located in Forest Hill, the Horniman Museum includes an aquarium that showcases local fish and marine life. The museum also features natural history exhibits, musical instruments, and beautiful gardens, making it a great all-in-one destination for families.

Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre: Located just outside of London in North Anston, this unique attraction combines a zoo and butterfly sanctuary.
