London is one of the best places you can go when it comes to a date, as the list of what you can do is literally endless!
If you’re trying to be healthy and want a date day or night that will get you moving, you’re in the right place. Whether you want to go for a dance or a nice daytime walk and healthy brunch, we’ve got you covered!
Our first healthy date night idea is to go to a roller disco! They were absolutely massive in the 1970s and this continued into the ’80s and ’90s, but dropped off slightly moving into the 2000s when ice rinks started to take over. However, they are coming back and are better than ever!
Roller discos do take a lot of energy, but they also help to release endorphins to put you in the best mood. Not to mention, all of the muscles in your legs will get a good workout, as well as test your balance and coordination skills.
There are quite a few across London, but one of the most popular is Roller Nation, which has club nights, family events, and even a roller diner so you can really make the most of your weekend. Prices are really reasonable as well for London, so this will be affordable and healthy!
Another great thing you can do for a healthy date is to explore Hyde Park, one of the eight Royal Parks in London! You can spend the whole day in the huge 350-acre park, whether you want to get around on foot or on the Santander Cycles which you can use for the day. Just throw on something comfy like your favourite gym leggings or joggers, as you’ll probably burn up a sweat by the end of the day!
There are always plenty of events in Hyde Park, or if your visit is more impromptu, then you can look at the beautiful memorials, explore the Rose Garden, look for the wildlife or simply walk around and take a healthy picnic with you.
From here, you can then head into Mayfair for brunch at Plants, a delicious plant-based cafe with some of the most delicious vegan food you’ll ever try. Our personal favourite is the baby gem Caesar salad, and make sure to order a side of the smashed roast potatoes and smokey aioli! This is such a delicious spot that will help to end your wonderful day in Hyde Park on a high.
London is one of the best locations in the UK if not the world when it comes to music. So, if you fancy a dance and want to go and enjoy some great music, then head to a gig with a standing ticket! You will definitely get your steps in when you go to a standing concert, plus it’s a great ice-breaker if it’s the first date as you will have so much to talk about on your next date if it goes well.
Some of the best venues in the UK are Wembley, The O2, and Printworks, so if you can get tickets at one of them, definitely go for it!
